15 July 2010 13 Comments

The next installment to our regular monthly events. TV DINNER sees the screening of old episodes of TV shows while eating a good old fashion TV Dinner. the meal is what gets you inside. The first screening is going to take place tues 20th July.

We got the ball rolling with the first episodes of  both the A Team, and Knight Rider. Back to back 80′s classics.

What we would like to do however is open up the polls to you. Let us know if there is another series, you would prefer to see and we will do our best to source it. Leave your comment below.

Twilight Zone – the episode with the alien ripping out a plane engine in mid-flight. The Avengers. Dr. Who. The Muppet Show. Or anything from the TV Cream website: http://www.tvcream.co.uk/?cat=3. Were The Clangers on TV in SA too?

    Hey Guys,

Sounds great. What we need is all of the oldies. There are so many to chose from: MacGyver, V, Golden Girls, Magnum P.I., etc. There is also a lot of old Afrikaans shows that would be great to see again.

Movies wise: ET, Goonies, Back to the Future, Jaws, Beetlejuice, Cocoon, Die Hard.

There is so much that can be shown :O)

How about Monty Python? In between a bit of Fawlty Towers,Black Adder.British humor has to be in.What are we going to have for TV Dinner???

I vote for a double bill – Golden Girls and Three’s Company. Hooray!

The British humour idea is great, add my vote to that.

As for MacGyver, I have sworn that I will never, ever, watch that show again, in case it’s horrid and my most treasured childhood memories are destroyed.
