I saw it on Indian TV on its only broarcast 1989 and revisiting it on youtube has not altered my opinion one bit, even when in the intervening 20 years I've had my fill of world masterpeices. It is, within its limited means and budget, bloody brilliant!!! Outside of its writing and direction,what lifts it out of the ordinary is its acting. Where did its young cast come from? Where are they now? The naturalness on screen is rare in Indian film. What is holding up an official release? Music rights? Film rights? Indifference? What!!!
