Take the Joe Slovo off ramp
Take Market Street off ramp to your right

The Bioscope is situated on the ground floor of Main Street Life, the second development within the Maboneng Precinct, after the massively successful first development Arts on Main. The Maboneng Precinct is located on the eastern side of Johannesburg’s city centre. Both Main Street Life and Arts on Main are located on Fox Street, and are within a 2 min walking distance of each other.
If you looking for a drink or a meal before a film, you have many options. Malva is located next door to The Bioscope. Malva serve coffee , as well as stock all kinds of great bakery treats like cupcakes and light meals.
Inside Arts on Main is the restaurant Canteen. To book a table call Matthew on 083 399 9740.

Other gems of the area include The Troyeville Hotel, which serve fantastic Portuguese food and great draught beer and is only 2 min drive away from The Bioscope. The Guildhall, Johannesburg’s oldest bar is a 5 min drive into the city centre. Other great gems in the eastern side of the city include Lucky Moo located in Ghandi Square. They provide the amazing noodles enjoyed in our monthly Noodle Box Cinema events.

Is there a secure parking facility near the Bioscope?
yeah there is, you park right outside on Fox Street, where there are guards and cameras.
