When the estranged daughter of a hard-working live-in housekeeper suddenly appears, the unspoken class barriers that exist within the home are thrown into disarray.

A story about four brothers from a poor family who need to fight to follow their dreams.

Four poverty-stricken half brothers with the same mother, Cleuza but different fathers, who live in a suburban neighborhood in the periphery of São Paulo and have to fight to follow their dreams. Dario, seeks the opportunity of a better life with his soccer skills; Dênis survives as a motorcycle courier; Dinho works in a filling station and helps at the local church and Reginaldo, although gifted as a soccer player dreams of becoming a bus driver. Cleuza, pregnant with her fifth child, works as a cleaner for a woman in a middle class area of São Paulo. The film stars Sandra Corveloni, who won the Best Actress Award at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival for her role, which was her first in a full-length motion picture.

21 July 2pm NISE – THE HEART OF MADNESS BOOK NOW1h 46min. 

After leaving prison, Dra. Nise da Silveira is back at work in a psychiatric hospital on the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro and refuses to employ the new and violent electroshock in the treatment of schizophrenics. Ridiculed by doctors, she is forced to take the abandoned Sector for Occupational Therapy, where she would start a revolution through paints, dogs and love.
