The Bioscope is proud to once again host The Diversitas Film Festival. This is a unique film festival celebrating diversity in collaboration with the embassies of Dominican Republic, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Argentina, Spain and Colombia.
Tickets have been made FREE courtesy of all the embassies involved.
ALL FOREIGN LANGUAGE FILMS SCREENED AT THE BIOSCOPE WILL HAVE ENGLISH SUBTITLES.

FRI 17 Oct 6pm CHILE (INAUGURAL EVENT) Presents: The Mole Agent BOOK NOW. Nominated for Best Documentary Feature at The 2021 Academy Awards. A private investigator in Chile hires someone to work as a mole at a retirement home where a client of his suspects the caretakers of elder abuse.
FRI 24 Oct 6pm PERU Presents: Un Mundo para Julius (A World For Julius) BOOK NOW. Julius is a high class child of the 50’s, in Lima-Peru. He lives in a palace with his family and a lot of servants. He will lose the innocence little by little, when discovering and never understanding a world full of injustices.
SAT 25 Oct 4pm DOMINICAN REPUBLIC Presents: Mañana no te olvides (Don’t Forget Tomorrow) BOOK NOW. A film by acclaimed director José Enrique Pintor. A young man with Down syndrome and his grandfather diagnosed with Alzheimer form a special relationship to escape daily hostilities and to try finding happiness.
FRI 7 Nov 6pm SPAIN Presents: Historias lamentables (Unfortunate stories) BOOK NOW. Spanish dark comedy film by Javier Fesser that tells four interconnected, surreal stories about miserable people in humorous, often tragic situations, mirroring the structure of works like Pulp Fiction or Wild Tales.
SAT 8 Nov 2pm ECUADOR Presents: CHUZALONGO BOOK NOW. A 2024 folk horror about a mythological Andean creature which is said to take the form of a child and then turns into a monster that feeds on the blood of young women.
SAT 8 Nov 4pm ARGENTINA Presents: Granizo (All Hail) BOOK NOW. After failing to predict a destructive hailstorm, a famous meteorologist flees to his hometown and soon finds himself on a journey of self-discovery.
FRI 14 Nov 6pm COLOMBIA Presents: Igualada BOOK NOW. Black Colombian activist Francia Márquez transforms a derogatory term, “Igualada,” into a symbol of rights defiance. Her presidential campaign inspires a nation to dream of a more equitable future, challenging societal norms
